i had the most bizarre dream. 'the marquee', which is essentially the only club in halifax offering a decent music scene right now, is in danger of closing due to lack of funding. so, in this bizarre dream, i was in a synthrock band who was part of an enormous benefit show in attempts to save the venue. it was the band that i was in, the killers, and the arcade fire who were headlining the show. the oddest part to me was that my friends were all members of the band. tom vaughan was the bands drummer, jeff green was the guitarist, aaron short was the bass player, and evelyn (whom i haven't spoken to in forever) was the keyboard player and i was singing. from what i remember we were pretty good. i don't even think aaron knows how to play the bass.
anyhow, in the vein of my dream, and especially dance rock, i've decided to update this ol' girl (and possibly get back into the habit of regular updates) with one of my old standards - a mixtape. it may not save the marquee, but it might get you dancin'.
