it's appropriate she's missing an arm.

this weekend was a bit of a blur. i spent most of it at the apartment with kyle. here's a run down.

kyle and i continued to move things in. the bed mostly, i think. i don't really remember. his sister and her boyfriend helped us. jesse is awesome - he will help you with anything, if you ask. and he never expects anything in return. more people should be like him. after we had moved most of the stuff we were going to that night, we decided we'd bring sophie over, and let her get used to the apartment. that didn't work out too well. she freaked out on the way over, and it didn't stop once we were inside. she had the most plaintiff and sad cry ever. and she stayed low to the ground the entire time. at about 5 in the morning on saturday, kyle called me because sophie couldn't handle the apartment. so i drove back to norfolk, and ended up sleeping on the floor with her.

when we woke up later that morning, kyle went to the store with his dad for some stuff. and i stayed at home with sophie. we watched tv, explored the apartment, cleaned up a bit. she was getting used to it, and even liking it, i think. then, kyle and his parents came up the stairs and the noise scared her. so, when his mom came in and saw her shaking under the blanket, she wrapped her up in a quilt and took her home. i was really very upset about it - but then we went to his parent's house and saw her roaming around the backyard and playing with cooper(his dog), and she was much happier. so we'll just go visit her all the time. it still makes me sad. so, after sophie was gone, kyle and his parents went back out to shop some more, and i went home, with the intention of getting my tire fixed. well, that didn't happen because i ended up wanting to go visit my brother in the hospital, which is a long and insane story that i might tell later. i never made it to the hospital - instead, i helped kyle move some more. then, we ended up hanging out at the apartment all night. i tivo'd the sixth sense, while i was watching it, just so i could. we went to sleep at like 1 am.

we woke up early that morning, ate some breakfast, took some showers. kyle went to watch his mom race(she rows). i went home to finally get my tire fixed. while at home, i worked on a new project, which i'll unveil soon. i was in newport news most of the day, waiting for the guy to call me so i could pick my new tire up. then, when that was done, after a quick visit to my grandparents, i came back to norfolk and helped kyle move even more stuff. this time, his dresser, the rest of his clothes, and anything else we had left at his parent's house. i think we're actually done moving now? i'm not sure. i cooked spaghetti, and we ate on the floor in the living room - because we don't have any furniture, except for a tv stand and a coffee table(but they're so beautiful).

after dinner, i worked on my new project a bit, and kyle chatted online. it was neat to be able to sit in separate spaces and just do our own thing, but still be together. very neat. then amber called, or something? i don't know exactly how it came up. but she wanted us to come over, and i was like ok! but then i thought we were waiting for her to call us when she got home, and i guess kyle and i confused each other... who knows? we ended up accidentally standing her up, and i felt horrible. especially after seeing all the rad stuff she got yardsale-ing this weekend. (which you can see here.)

then, we watched some tv, and i decided to sleep at my parent's house. because my gigantic bed was calling me.

i totally overslept. but still managed to get to work by 8:30, even with a huge backup on the interstate. i'd like to go adopt some kitties today, but i don't think i'll have time on my lunch break - and that would be sort of cruel, i think. i'd have to leave them alone for the rest of the day, and that wouldn't be good. but oh, i want to.

i guess i will just spend bits of time staring intently at pet finder.
