So, yeah. Here I am again, just because I have nothing better to do than tell random people about my pretty much completely boring and uneventful life. Wow, now that says something, doesn't it?
Well, today nothing special happened. I escaped a detention for um, "forgetting" to do my science homework (I actually didn't forget, I just wasn't in the mood to try to do it, I was soo tired last night, and yeah, I just didn't bother. I did some of it though, the easy part). So, when my science teacher (let's call him Mr. Corny, cause he LOVES corny science jokes) decided that we were going to correct it in class and that he would collect them at the end of class, I was pretty happy. Even though I don't get too many detentions, and it wouldn't have been too big of a deal, I'd already gotten one earlier today for forgetting to do some PDR thing. (This time I actually did forget!) So, I just wrote down the answers as we corrected them in class. And, trust me, I wasn't the only one doing it.
OK, let me explain the detention thing. We don't have after school detention or anything. We have lunch detention. And it's not even called "detention". It's called "PEBS". It stands for "Positive Effective Behavioral System" or something like that. I think a lot of the schools around here have this or something like this. But anyways, we have a half hour lunch, then something called "PEBS time". PEBS time is another half hour class you only have to go to if you've gotten detention (we call them "Minors"). If you haven't gotten a minor, then you get a full hour of lunch. If you have gotten a minor, then you only get thirty minutes to have lunch, then you go to PEBS. Pretty much all you do in PEBS is do homework you didn't do, or class work you need to catch up on, or, if you've got everything else done, then you can just read. Some of the guys choose to just sit there and mope.
The seniors and juniors have different PEBS times, just so the cafeteria isn't so crowded. The seniors have PEBS first, then lunch. The juniors have lunch first, then PEBS. It might sound confusing right now, and believe me, when they first started this almost two years ago (the beginning of grade eight for me) it was very confusing for us too. But after a little while we got used to it, and completely hated it. We still do. It sucks, but if you just don't show up, and get a minor for not showing up, and you get so many minors then you get a MAJOR. Majors usually equal in-school suspensions or suspensions, depending on how many minors you've gotten, and how bad whatever it was that you did. My friend's boyfriend almost always has a in-school or a suspension, or, if he is actually in school, then he'll most likely have PEBS. She's getting pretty sick of it. Poor her. :(
On another note, MC is thinking about asking the other guy she likes out. Not CC, but a guy named "DOG". (Again, just a nickname, he really isn't a dog, nor does he act like one... well, actually, the latter is debatable. ;P) I'm not sure if she is going to or not, because she's pretty good friends with him, plus she's liked him before and it didn't work out. (He cheated on his girlfriend with MC and then broke up with said girlfriend for MC, but then MC did something to make DOG mad, and well, it just never happened. Now she likes him again, but he just broke up with his off and on girlfriend again, and she's not really sure yet. Plus, she still likes CC.
Well, I hope MC and DOG do get together before the dance, so that KW and CC can get together and no fights between MC and KW break out.
Righhht.
*Sigh*. I think a fight is inevitable. And I'm in the middle. Well, now I'm depressed.
With that said, I'm signing off. (I'm gonna ditch this to go read a book! :))
