PRETENTIOUS IS A PRETENTIOUS WORD!
yup. so today was hilarious adventures with liz. we ended up:
-getting blueberries at carlson orchards!! but there was no one there (we technically could've robbed the store) so we just left the money and took the blueberries cause its a great farm and i know the people who work there and they ROCK LIKE METAMORPHIC ROCKS DO!
-then we pretended to be littleton residents and went swimming at long lake
-sold used cds at newbury comics and i got ridiculous magazines in return! one of which includes punk rockers with pictures with their pets! hahaha. i also found out that the old mad caddies drummer commited suicide! i'm really sad. its such a horrible thing to think that people don't have anything to live for or just can't take the pressures of the world. i think elliot smith's suicide was the saddest though, cause he stabbed himself. most people will just shoot themselves (not that that's an easier task, but probably quicker and cleaner). but to stab yourself? i dunno, its just much more violent in a way.
and before all that happened i watched a four hour made-for-tv movie. EAST OF EDEN! it was sweet. basically true to the book. but it wasn't anything special. it was really good, but nothing revolutionary. except considering it was made in '55 it was pretty risque at the time.
