I ate some of the best meat I've ever had yesterday. We went out West to Devon for a Hart-family get-together, celebrating Si's Grandma's 80th birthday. It was held on Uncle Dave's farm, so the food was top quality. There was fresh pork and chicken and other goodies on offer, far too much for even Si's vast extended family to eat at one sitting! This weekend we relaxed. I think I told you about that. Went around to Si's sister's place for a couple of hours on Sunday which was great and meant we ended up having lunch in the Bracknell Waterstones - where they do fantastic bagels. Si Hart is back from Cornwall. I missed him. He brought pastry back. Well, Pasties actually, but they were lush. I made a raspberry cheesecake to celebrate his return! Thursday night was pub quiz night! There was no TV/Movie or Books round though, so my specialist trivia was mostly useless. Instead there were questions on England, America, London and Music, among others. At least there wasn't a Sports round. Our team (named in the title!) did OK, coming 5th out of 11. Journeyed to Sawbridgeworth for the big Eurovish bash. I vowed that the night would be a white wine occasion, while Si stuck with beer. Sensible chap!

We turned up at Si and Simon's at around 5pm to find that they had 'redecorated' in a fairly jingoistic style.
