im going on day four here in albequerque. it's surreal visiting your parents across the country, sort of like visiting your grandparents. you fly into an alien land, sleep in an alien bed, and you're essentially a tourist among family. very wired. today we took mom's convertible up through a beautiful state park north of here to one of many quirky artsy towns. it looked like this: 
later we went to los alamos aka "the atomic city" which is where they developed a couple of infamous bombs. here's the fat man (and my pops):
tomorrow im renting a harley davidson and tearing through a few ghost towns on my way up to santa fe. dad's going to ride bitch. more on that exciting chapter later.
