He lost his faith in more than just God that day.
From the moment her last fragile breath left her body he lost his faith in humanity, in life itself.
The ones who had taken her away, the ones who had caused her misery were going to pay with their lives.
He had no life left to live without her.
Then the night came and he could not bare it, seeing her lying so still, so silent and pale.
When her eyes blinked open he felt as though the sun had risen at midnight and with it returned his faith.
