The sounds of celebrating soldiers drifted through the cool desert night air.
Robin’s companion was nervous, more so then usual, he knew because it had taken him years to learn the difference.
He thought it odd considering the great victory they were rejoicing. “What’s wrong, my friend?”
Robin took his hand and Much’s face became determined as he blurted out, “I love you.”
But his courage seemed to abandon him and dejectedly he babbled on. “Not that you have to love me back, I mean-”
Robin laughed and decided to put him out of his misery. “I love you too.”
