So.
It's simple.
To avoid washing comforter, sheets and nightgown every blessed day, we keep the kitten out of the bedroom.
Simple.
"Mama?"
"Yes, Amanda?"
"I feel like I'm gonna barf..."
"Well, get to the bathroom!"
Too late.
She has been sitting in front of the TV with a mixing bowl on her lap. She doesn't have a fever.
Beverly's mom dropped by. She is heading to a friend's party somewhere in McCleary, and needed to use my computer to use Mapquest. She was very kind and sympathetic to Amanda as Amanda hurled a surprising amount into the bowl. I thought little kids had little stomachs.
Amanda asked for some cinnamon toast, and I am pushing water on her, so maybe she's getting better.
The washing machine is busy today.
I hope the electricity doesn't go out. We have been hearing a lot of thunder along with our rain, which is very rare in these parts. Amanda didn't know what that sound was.
Beats the heat from yesterday. Beverly and I went to the library, the bank, and the farmer's market.
My nutritionist wants me to eat more vegetables. She said that I have to go to the farmer's market, find a vegetable I am not familiar with, and ask the vendor how to cook it. And then try it. Beverly and I took canvas bags to blend in.
I bought some beets, some chard, and some garlic flowers.
I also bought some cherries (bing and Rainier), some peaches and two Pink Lady apples. Beverly and I were curious about how they tasted. I asked the vendor if they were baking apples or eating apples and he said they are eating apples. I guess that counts towards my assignment.
Lastly, I bought a wallet. The leather on my old one has stretched out, and debit and medical cards are strewn all over the floor whenever I open my purse. Everywhere. Beverly agreed that I needed a new wallet before we even got to the Market and discovered there was a vendor that made them.
It's bigger than the old one, but all cards are secure now. Victoria has now lost a source of amusement.
Amanda wants me to bake cookies.
