We are making a bid on a new house today. It is on a quiet dead end street next to part of Watershed Park. The back of the house doesn't have much of a yard because most of it is taken up by a ravine (part of the park). It is thick with trees and plants. There are large windows everywhere and out of every window is green, green green.

It's not as big as the house we originally wanted, but the owners of that house have decided to hold on to it until 2010 and intend to sell it for a higher price then.

Whatever.

The new house is 3000 square feet and has a gorgeous kitchen, and a large downstairs for our foundlings :).

There are two fireplaces, one upstairs and one downstairs. There is a stacked washer/dryer set in the kitchen (behind a door that matches the rest of the "rich wood cabinetry"), so I don't have to haul laundry up and down stairs anymore.

Wish us luck.

In other news, Alex has a class trip to Northwest Trek today, so I need to pack him a lunch. Today is "Red Day" at Amanda's school, so I found one of Alex's old red T-shirts (which was originally one of Uncle Torin's shirts). It is very cute on her. I will let her choose a red toy to take herself. That should keep her busy for a while...
