this new chapter in my life is off to a very stupid start
Recently, i have been rendered jobless and homeless.
After a week of searching, today was my first job interview. I have my cover letter, my resume is in order, my references are neatly typed, and a reference letter to show how determined i am.
My hair is braided. my clothes are professional. I am so "hire me" it hurts.
...I was told i am overqualified.
fuck.
I told the interviewer, "no! wait. i can dumb it down. Let me try again!" She looked at me, looked back at my resume, and told me, "you sound too smart".
I don't know what the hell to do with that!
