Still rather dazed from vacation and news about selling Deadroads to Night Shade Books. UNREAL. But mostly, I think, dazed from vacation. I need a vacation from vacation. There ought to be a word for that.
So far, today:
- Slept in, as apparently I am still on west coast time.
- Forgot to reprimand cat for purring on my head because he was so darn cute.
- Registered my domain name so I can start building my web site.
- Download a gazillion (well, okay, 874) vacation photos from camera.
- Had too many cups of coffee.
- Decided not to wash the dog in advance of Long Car Ride tomorrow. May regret that.
- Pitched project to Oxford University Press -- got a not-offputting reception.
- Bought shoes with the Doctor (there are far fewer options in men's shoes. It makes me sad. And their feet are so very large).
- Mmm. Québecois duck breasts for dinner. Mmmm.
- Trying to work about attending book events. Can-Con (Canadian sf/f here in Ottawa, butting up against major art event Nuit Blanche, and Word on the Street, Toronto), Word on the Street (Toronto, booksellers/readers fair, already there due to Little Witch Press), and World Con in Toronto, in November. The only consideration is $. Of course.
Thoughts?
