The Hermit's cave
An interesting little plaque on Braid Road. It says:
"The Hanging Staines. Thomas Kelly and Henry O'R Neill, the last two highway men in Scotland to be executed, were hanged in public on the 25th January 1815, on the two staines still visible on the spot, which was where the robbery took place."
