Someone, I won't say
who, was teasing me the other night that I haven't been updating the ol' LJ like I should. Okay, that is true, and she was really charming when she mentioned I update it. How can I resist?
Here are some things I did over my four day weekend:
1. Saw The Devil Wears Prada, and it was great. It reminded me of a little of myself moving to New York and getting my job. However, Meryl Streep's character reminded me of dealing with certain people at
PC (if we are still speaking, it's not you). It was a good movie; I suggest you see it.
2. Went to a good 4th of July party.
Minus 5 hosted at her cool apartment in Brooklyn where they recently filmed some of Spiderman 3. Good people, food, and an excellent view of the fireworks over Manhattan. Thanks for the invite!
3. Started rocking the whole 80s trend that's making a fierce comeback. The Batka referred to it as my Less Than Zero look (and now I really want to see that movie again). I sported the black jelly bracelets and rolled up the sleeves on my black blazer. If I had to say it, I think I'm much more Robert Downey, Jr. than Andrew McCarthy.
4. Forgot to return some books to the library. Overdue fees are almost up to a dollar!
5. Excavated my room and found several things I was missing. These things include an official
Anne business card (each one made by hand and with love), a missing stash of cash, my straight razor blades, and a calligraphy nib. Things that are now missing: a towel (how do you loose that within an apartment?), brown Banana Republic belt from five years ago, and my innocence (although I think that was lost before I moved).
