it puts a blindfold on truth
and on honesty
with interpreters
and their stories
dictating lives

with confused ramblings
they give me something
that's really nothing
because what's nothing's
really something
so take history
and its facts
and the stories
that it preaches
with its carefully
selected photos
and its delicate
words of proof
give me nothing
and i'll take it
because its true
full of life
full of youth
it is now
and then
and the time before that
they are nothing
which is something
