The Early Spring 50 Degrees in Southern States:
It's a cold front passing through. Windows are closed up. Long sleeves, possibly sweatshirts are worn with long pants. Car windows are rolled up. Children go outside with jackets and jeans to play, or don't go outside to play at all. People eat inside and make soup/chili and tend to stay outside for very short periods of time. People wonder when the warm weather will come back.
50 Degrees in Michigan:
A heat wave! All windows in the house are open. People wear shorts/t-shirts. They grill steak and hamburgers outside. Car windows are down and sunroofs are open. Children are allowed to go outside and play because "we're not sure how long this weather will last". People want to leave work early to enjoy "the beautiful day" outside. People wonder how long the warm weather will last.
Haha, when you have 6 long months of freezing cold weather, anything above 40 feels warm! On the flip side, when you hardly ever get weather below 60, it's freezing when it's 50. I just find it funny.
Anyway, it's supposed to be in the 50s for the next 10 days!!!!! Woohoo! In fact, on Sunday, it's supposed to be 60 degrees. It will be the warmest day we have had since October. (Weird Indian Summer, we call it up here, when the fall is anywhere above 70 degrees.)
Today is supposed to be a high of 54, tomorrow 52, Saturday 59, Sunday 60, Monday and Tuesday 54, Wednesday 50, Thursday 58, Friday 56, Saturday 53.
Those numbers never looked better :) Haha, and my southern friends probably think I'm crazy!
