I see my friends in the desert relate the recent temperatures. I don't care if it is a dry heat, it's still heat ( Read more... )

82 in the office??!? randomcub June 16 2003, 20:16:00 UTC
Good Lord! I'd be feeling listless too. I think they keep ours at 73 or so.

I wonder if women tolerate heat better than men. I know in my experience most of the women in the office have cardigans and sweaters they put on when the a/c is on, and they complain about how it's too cold; I usually am fine. But the heat gets to me, so maybe they weather it better.

OUtside it got to a blistering 82 today, but I worked in the back room, used to be a server room, with all that lovely AC....

Sorry. I do get it and do sympathize. One of the reasons I moved to a place that only has summer for a month or two a year at best.

72 degrees is my minimum comfort level, but I usually keep the house at 76 to 78 to reduce the electric bill. As long as the humidity is low, I can tolerate it and the A/C certainly helps in that area.

Unfortunately, I usually have to stay indoors in the summer time because of the heat and humidity.

If 75 is your comfort level, then Cleveland, Ohio is perfect for you. It ranks second in the nation in overcast days, and even during July, it rarely ever scratches the 85 degree surface.

I lived in Elyria and South Euclid from 3 months to 7 years. I was quite comfy there.

Ha! Just a hop and a skip from North Olmsted, where I currently reside. Well, since you've lived here, no wonder you don't anymore.
