Fascinating!

Of all the gadgetry of these modern times, I feel that I desperately need to have a digital camera or some sort. Why? Because I have a fantastic sense of humor. Most people who take 4^12 pictures any given weekend, assuredly DO NOT. Sometimes it's just necessary to illustrate the things going on around you, and images will often make up for the spotty holes in my memory [thanks a lot alcohol, for that delightful repercussion...].

So I've been absent for awhile, mostly out of sheer busyness. After the festivities two Sundays ago, last week was shaping up to be rather droll in comparison. But! I ended up making a new friend on Wednesday night, which has been nothing short of exciting. So I'm kind of stoked, to say the least.

I was also finally able to hang out with Kristin and her friend Anna from England last Friday. Went to the Hill Café and had an atrocious wait, but the food was pretty tasty, and Donald even showed up! The rest of the weekend was less-than-spectacular, as I spent most of my time working a huge family show at work, with lots of bad bands, a few good ones, some good shows, and a billion kids and parents milling, running, and bumbling around. Saturday was by far the worst, as I didn't eat a stitch of solid food and I was running on less than 3 hours of sleep...ugh. I think I'm still recovering from that.

Anyway. I have lots to take care of this week. The big Great War spring event is this weekend and I need to find some way to excite and motivate burnt-out reenacting dudes who are twice my age. I'm working on some fun things like posted orders for civilians near the front, personal letters to my guys on official postcards, and trying to learn how to shave with a straight razor. We're going in-depth here. No cutting corners - no farbisms.
