On November 13, 2009, 19 year old, openly gay Jorge Steven Lopez Mercado’s body was found on the site of an isolated road in the city of Cayey in Puerto Rico. His body was partially burned, decapitated, and dismembered, both arms, both legs, and the torso. A suspect has been arrested for the murder.
