1 - Betrayal
Nobody betrayed anybody, but it was the greatest betrayal. The stream did not change its course, yet the rocks were being thrown out of their slumber. Despair arouse out of the nothingness of the cracks of the earth. Sorrow fell out of the sky in droplets. Out of the rabbbit hole they tumbled and fell on top of each other. Looking at each other, they noticed their new forms. There were a handful of them, each wrapped in a simple grey cloak. They were frightened of what they have become. Yet defensive of what had become theirs as some of them sought to seek contact in curiosity. They were not what they were. Lost to incident and time as the world was cold and then hot and then warm again. The ground did not shake and the sky did not crack anymore. Nothing seemed to have ever happened, except themselves. They decided to distinguish the world into two and some of them went this way while others went that way. Nobody betrayed anybody, but it was the greatest betrayal.
