Last night, my friend from down (not across) the hall, Roommate, and I made our way north to Austin to go to a book signing and discussion with Patrick Rothfuss, whose newest book, The Wise Man's Fear I gushed over about a month ago.

Last day of spring break. I have no voice. I spent most of the week sleeping off a bout of strep. The rest of it was spent with my nose in a book. I traded my roommate The Wise Man's Fear for one of the Robin Hobb books I haven't read yet. So, I don't know how many of you, my internet savvy buddies, are familiar with the works of fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss, but I just finished his second novel, The Wise Man's Fear.

...I can't read high school fiction any more. I think I've outgrown it. This is a perfectly acceptable and natural thing. Except that I'm still IN high school. Then again, considering how OVER IT I already am and how badly I want OUT, perhaps it's understandable ( Read more... )
