After his run in with Tracey, Draco had been frantic. Even his run in with Nott had gone smoother; at least he hadn't wanted to kill her. But somehow he felt like he needed reassuring. There had been a monster rising inside of him; a very capable, very desperate killer that had risen to the surface at very little baiting. And he had been baited before. Sometimes he had been deliberately avoided in the street, felt like screaming out loud...but he'd thought he was past that. Tracey had been a relapse, and although he had managed to leave without responding, it had left him feeling heartsick that he had even considered it.
He went to Hogsmeade, purposefully apparating straight to Andromeda's doorstep, although in usual circumstance he would have enjoyed a walk through the town and maybe through the park...no, he was purposefully avoiding that this time. He just had to see Andromeda. He walked down to the door from the gate and knocked firmly on it.
