RP: It’s A Girls’ Night Out

Padma arrived in front of Flourish & Blotts just a little before seven. She thought herself very good since she avoided actually going inside- no need to be unnecessarily distracted. After all, an evening of book shopping wasn't everyones idea of fun. She went over the available pubs and hangouts in the area, and then moved on to Hogsmeade. Then she thought about Ginny and settled on the place that she would probably enjoy the most. She knew, then, just what to suggest when her friend arrived.
She was doing a very fine job of pretending that everything was fine. Having left work at a reasonable hour, she had gone home and changed into more comfortable attire, treated herself to a completely necessary and conclusively calming glass of wine, and then Apparated to meet Ginny. No, tonight she would not go on about her day, about the flaws of working for a nationally recognised paper that was not fit to line most owl cages on its best day, not to put too fine a point on it. Tonight she would be carefree, and she would listen, and she would laugh, and she would drink.
It really was going to be a good night, even if she had to kill herself to make it so.
