Penny walked down towards the Ministry canteen, kind of hoping that Percy would be waiting for her. Even though that would mean she was a little late. She had eaten here a few times now but it would be nice to have a friend waiting. It seemed like such a lot of strange people otherwise, all knowing each other and having people to sit with. She did know a few people who worked at the Ministry, but she hadn't seen anyone she knew at the canteen yet. It reminded her a little of Hogwarts. Of finding a friend to sit next to in the great hall or in lessons.
Penny joined the end of the lunch queue, deciding that if Percy wasn't waiting for her she could wait to eat until he got there. She picked a prawn salad sandwich and a custard slice and looked around for Percy. She was going to wait to have a drink when she got back to the office. The food in the canteen was great, but she preferred her own tea. The tea here always tasted a little stewed to her, you really couldn't beat it freshly made in a pot.
