Penny sighed as she stood under the warm water of the shower. It had to be the best way to wake up. In Penny's opinion whoever invented the shower was a genius. She rinsed off the last of the suds and stood there a moment longer, enjoying the warmth.
She had stayed up far too late last night, talking with Alicia and Angelina. Now she was beginning to think that she should have spaced her socialising a little further apart. Not that she wasn't looking forwards to seeing Percy and Oliver of course. Penny began mentally planning what she was going to cook, before wondering what the time was.
Penny finished her shower and picked her watch up off the windowsill, wiping the condensation off the face.
"Half past eleven!" she exclaimed. She hadn't realised she had stayed in bed quite so long. Penny rushed around getting dressed and decided that she would just have to let her hair dry naturally, she didn't have time to do it properly. That meant it would go into a mass of curls but at least she didn't have to go out in public with it looking a frizzy mess. She gathered it into a rough plait and went into the kitchen.
Penny made herself a pot of tea and made a start on lunch. She had a cauliflower and some cheese that was leftover from making last nights pizza so decided on Cauliflower Cheese. Since the oven would be on for that Penny thought she might as well do roast potatoes too. Along with the pork chops and the carrots she had got, it should be a quite nice meal.
