Neville had enjoyed what he thought would be his last day of work with Professor Sprout but she'd offered him a chance to continue there on Saturday mornings through the end of the term. Neville decided to take it since it would give him access privileges to the Hogwarts library and would make it easier for him to meet with Professor Slughorn. The man had agreed to help Neville understand what he looked for in potions ingredients and how to spot high quality over tea in his office. Neville could have done without the tea in all honesty, but Professor Slughorn had asked. It seemed like a small thing to Neville to take tea in return for his assistance.

He'd enjoyed having dinner with Pansy, too. After work, he'd come home and cleaned up, then grabbed two of the pizzas he had frozen and the salad he'd mixed up last night before he walked down to Pansy's new flat. She'd moved just that morning and he'd offered to bring dinner. He'd helped her with a few things during the time it took for the pizza to bake, but she'd already taken care of almost everything except her bedroom. Neville thought helping there was only likely to get him in trouble. Things were really good with Pansy and he didn't want to make things awkward. After dinner, they'd relaxed a bit but then he left her to finish unpacking her clothes and came home. If he spent most of the walk wondering what sort of knickers and underthings she might be unpacking, he certainly wasn't going to discuss it with anyone. He tried to focus on their plans to explore Penzance tomorrow instead of her knickers, but even though he was looking forward to their trip, his mind kept drifting back to visions of lace, silk, and even plain but still sexy cotton. He chuckled to himself that it probably was a good thing he'd not stuck around because he was turning himself into a drooling mess just thinking about it. Merlin only knew what sort of an idiot he'd have made of himself actually seeing her unpack.

Now he was home. Neville padded into the kitchen to grab a beer before settling in on the sofa. He briefly wondered if Dean or Shay were upstairs. It seemed really quiet but there was always less noise in the house than he originally thought there would be because of them each having their own room. He summoned his bag and took out one of the new books he'd picked up last night from Flourish and Blott's. He needed to get on his reading to be prepared for the first day of his apprenticeship Monday. It had been a nice break since NEWTs but now it was time to start revision again.
