George shrugged out of his robe and tossed it toward the peg on the wall, then scooped up a bouquet of brightly coloured flowers off the desk. Verity was straightening a display of Reusable Hangmen who were apparently fighting over gallows-superiority, and he chuckled as he let her know he was off to lunch.
It was only a short walk to the restaurant, and he looked around, spotting no pregnant blondes, and congratulated himself on being early for once.
