A Sort of Journal
Day 9
Exams have made it difficult to write many decent impressions in here the last few days. Expected, but unfortunate. Doesn't help that I'm seeing the same blokes nearly every day. There's only so many times I can comment on Harry's hair before it gets ridiculous. (Though I will repeat for my own sanity--I do not fancy him, no matter how much I like that just-out-of-bed look he always has. I'm very confident on this point.)
I've not really spoken to anyone other than Parvati much these last few days, and since my attractions definitely don't lean that direction, my conversations with her are a bit moot for the purposes of this record. She hasn't brought up Terry again, thankfully, and I haven't mentioned that the two of us are spending Saturday afternoon/evening together. It seems that her teasing and questioning only serve to set my mind too much on the subject, and I don't want this study to have that sort of unnatural bias.
Obviously, Saturday's entry is going to be significantly Terry-skewed, though. Perhaps I need to schedule time with other blokes as well? I can't imagine I could do it without it looking suspiciously like I'm asking for a date, and that might be a little much for some blokes to handle. Especially my mates. I'm glad I don't have to worry about things like that with Terry. I wish it was that simple with everyone. Might make this whole thing easier.
Oh! There was that bloke in the Three Broomsticks this morning. I was running a little late after my run, so I popped in to grab breakfast on my way back home. He was probably a couple of years older than me and...wow. Quite fit. Knowing my luck, he's probably another friend of Katie Bell like every bloody other person I seem to meet in this town. (Side note - Must remember to owl Lee and decline the party invitation. Might have been tempting to drag Terry, since we're trying to figure out what we want to do Saturday, but I don't fancy putting him in the same room with Katie on purpose. I suspect she and Dean will probably be there, if pre-exam chatter holds true.)
Well, there it is. Like I said, not much. Hopefully I'll have some better observations tomorrow. The Hog's Head party should prove an interesting venue for bloke-watching.
