It was new for Percy to go out on a Monday night. He and Hestia had talked on Friday, after shopping, about getting together again over the weekend. But, with Percy wanting to be home for Arthur's birthday, Hestia suggested Monday night instead. He had said okay, even if it was something he didn't normally do, and she had understood and suggested a quiet dinner in. It wasn't that he didn't like to do things on the weekdays, but he liked to get enough sleep so that he could get proper exercise in the morning and be the most productive he could be at work. So, as dates with Hestia tended to run later and later the longer they dated, the weekends really were best. But the shopping had been cut short, and Percy didn't particularly want to wait until next weekend to see her again.
So Percy collected the small bouquet of flowers, worrying that Hestia might be growing tired of them, and Apparated to her flat with a slight smile on his face. She was certainly teaching him many new things- and if Percy liked anything, he liked a good learning experience. He was growing to appreciate the public affection, the (most likely) staying out late on a weeknight, and Hestia's refreshingly feminine ways.
He gave her door three smart raps and stood back, wondering if that was her cooking he smelled or if she had decided on take-away.
