Lavender left Divination halfway through the class, feeling positively sick from the scent of Professor Trelawney's incense. It made her dizzy and Lavender couldn't stand the thought of fainting again. So far in the class, Lavender hadn't learnt anything she didn't already know, which alleviated her guilt over leaving, though she knew she would need to apologise properly to Professor Trelawney later.
She wandered the corridors, ignoring Mrs Norris when she followed her across the Entrance Hall, eventually finding herself a quiet place to sit and write some letters.
Dear Professor Tofty,
Please accept my apologies for my absence in both the NEWT Prep Charms classes today. I was unable to attend due to personal health issues.
Should you require more information, Madam Pomfrey will be able to provide you with her medical opinion.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you during office hours sometime this week to discuss my progress in your class.
Yours,
Dear Wayne,
Thank you for your help on Friday afternoon. I don’t like to think about how long I might have been there if you hadn’t seen me.
I also want to apologise for how catty or bitchy I might have been on any of our encounters. The last couple of months have been kind of rough for me and we never seem to meet at a good time. Not eating for two days does nothing for my temper.
Yours,
Dear Healer Greystone,
Your name was passed to me by another patient of yours, Bill Weasley. Following the Battle of Hogwarts, I was similarly afflicted by a werewolf and, after several months I feel I am now in needs of professional help.
I have recently seen Healer Sirona Salus regarding physical issues, but I believe that you might be more qualified than her in other areas. Would it be possible to meet with you at some point? I am available for an appointment at any time.
Yours,
Kieran,
I might be willing to talk to you. You. Not either of them. I'm not ready for that yet.
