"I'll say it again. I love this tie," Neville chuckled as he tugged off his cloak and helped Pansy off with hers. Pansy had given him a black tie with streamers and champagne flutes and confetti printed on it. "It's brilliant. You look gorgeous." He'd told her that when he picked her up for the party but he felt he had to say it again.

Pansy snorted. The tie wasn't exactly what you might call classy, but she figured it would be fun for the evening. "Thanks." She kissed his jaw. "You do, too."

"Where should we start? Drinks?"

"I look festive. I don't know about gorgeous," he kissed her temple and wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Sure," Neville spied Eloise with Ron and waved. He was thinking this was an interesting setup with the various flats open. "I hope the rest of the building has been invited," he said with a chuckle.

"From where I stand gorgeous is about right." She smiled and leaned into him.

She chuckled. "Me too. It's interesting to say the least. I'd never have thought about opening up flats like this."

"My lease is up next month. Should we get some appointments set up to look for places?" Pansy didn't want to push, but they had decided it was worth a shot to live together. She just wanted to make sure they found something before she was living on the street.

Katie wandered out of Angelina's flat and into the hall. She noticed a solitary figure on the steps and after a moment, realized it was George.

"Hey you," she said, sitting down next to him. "How's my favourite redhead?"

George glanced over, smiling slowly. "Damn. I'm everyone's favourite something tonight." He lifted his glass to her, still mostly full of now slightly chilly wine.

He took a sip, more for the flavour on his tongue than to actually drink, then set the glass by his thigh. "Doing okay though. You?"

"Oh really? Well, they can't have you." She put her arm around him possessively and grinned.

"I'm glad. I'm doing alright. Better than I expected, actually," she admitted.

"Yeah? Me too." He gave her a gentle nudge. "Things going okay with the job? Official-ness agreeing with you?"

He wasn't sure what else to say; things had been strained with Katie for a while, but he really did want them to be better.

Millie laced her fingers through Liam's, giving him a shy smile before entering Stephen's place. She'd not gone anywhere social but more private, like a party, as part of, well, a couple.

She made her way in, seeing that the drinks were assembled at Stephen's place, so the food and such must be in the other flats. She smiled at Liam. "Care to play barkeep?"

"I think I can manage," he said with a smile. "What it'll be?" he asked. There was beer, wine, champagne, butterbeer, and what looked like some sort of punch. He grabbed a beer for himself.

"Then we should get some food. I'm starved, and I don't want to make too big of a fool of myself by getting pissed on an empty stomach."

"Some champagne, since it's traditional." And cause she hadn't had it in a while, most likely during the Ball where she'd really gotten to know Liam. She had fond memories of that night, even if it wasn't all fun and games for him.

"Good plan. Maybe say hi to your brother and Cho if we see them." She smiled as he led the way to another apartment, this one with plenty to eat. She wouldn't mind a nosh herself.

She picked up a meatball on a toothpick, and held it out for Liam, eyebrow raised.

Liam poured Millie a glass of champagne. "Yeah, I saw him when we first got here. Talking with some bloke," Liam said. They found food in one of the other flats, and Liam grinned when Millie held out a meatball for him. "I hope that's not all I'm allowed to eat," he said playfully.

He reached for plates and handed one to Millie. "Let's get to work on clearing away this food."

He loaded his plate down and smiled over at her. "Any resolutions?"

Cho set out another tray of sandwiches as she made sure the food table stayed replenished. The New Year's Eve party was going well and she was pleased to see so many people enjoying themselves this evening. She had been back and forth between the flats a bit tonight but wanted to catch a moment of alone time with Stephen. When she finished at the food table, she headed over to his flat in search of him ( ... )

"Always," Stephen answered when Cho asked if she could steal him away. He'd likely follow her just about anywhere. He wondered if this was how his father felt about his mum.

She Apparated them onto the roof of the building--something she had done before, but he smiled when they arrived. This was a special and meditative spot for Cho, and Stephen felt honoured that she'd share it with him.

Cho slipped her arms around his neck, and he grinned down at her. Perhaps it was the bourbon or just the night, but he felt bolder than normal. "I've been wanting to kiss you all night, but I was trying to be a gentleman and share you. Does this mean I can stop being a gentleman?" he asked as he leaned down toward her. "You are brilliant." Then he kissed her, long and hard.

Angelina hurried around to make sure everyone had something to drink or a noisemaker. The new year was quickly approaching, and she felt almost giddy. The party had gone so well, and everyone seemed happy.

After her unexpected moment with Dean how could she not be looking forward to seeing what the new year would bring.

Terry had been outside, thinking and getting some fresh air. He knew, though, that it would be midnight soon, so he went back to Angelina's flat, where he saw her fluttering around among the guests.

"Hey, Ang," he said, touching her shoulder and squeezing her arm. "Almost the new year, yeah?"

"Hey, Boot," she said with a happy grin. "It's almost the new year. I suppose you're looking to ring it in right with Turpin, yeah?" she asked playfully.

She sipped her champagne and smiled wider. "Great party. Thanks for coming. It's difficult to believe that another year is gone, but I have hopes for this new one. You?"
