Cho looked over at Stephen as they walked through the streets of Glasgow ’s wizarding community. The snow was steadily falling which made the decorated homes and storefronts look even more picturesque this holiday season. Cho had Side Alonged Stephen to Glasgow from their building earlier than needed for their arrival at her family’s Christmas party. She had wanted to first take him around the village she had been raised. The Chang Apothecary had already been closed for the day but she unlocked the wards and took Stephen on a private tour. Much of her childhood and summers had been spent playing and later working at the family business. She had also taken him through the nearby park where her brothers taught her to fly and then by the loch on the edge of town. They didn’t have time to visit her grandfather’s cottage but he should already be at her parents’ house for tonight’s family gathering.
She squeezed Stephen’s hand tighter as they neared her parents’ home. She smiled up at him reassuringly, “Are you ready to meet my family?” She had already been filling him in on the names of her parents and brothers, along with their wives and sons. Her oldest brother Lee and his wife Gillian had three sons, ages nine, six and four, while Lam and Helen’s sons were ages seven and five. Her brothers, Lee, 29, and Lam, 27, had married young and both had their first children when they were only twenty, Cho’s age now. She was hoping neither brother chose to point out that fact, like they usually did. Her family had been quite curious about her finally bringing a bloke home and she hoped this initial meeting wouldn’t be overwhelming for Stephen.
