domestic me

i spent my entire monday being little miss suzie homemaker. and to be honest... it was great.
i woke up this morning, to a chipper phone call from kristi who wanted to cook breakfast together. we made eggs, bacon and toast, sipped coffee and watched the price is right. she flipped through wedding mags, asking for my opinion on bridesmaid dresses, and i marveled at how bob barker hasn't changed a bit in thirty years.
when i was exhausted with wedding talk, i went home, got in the shower and then got dressed, 80s music blaring from my living room. me, kristi, shonda, lindsay, and daniel met at jason's deli for a very long lunch, and then me and kristi shopped all damn day long. sticking with the housewife theme, i bought a vacuum (which kristi assembled).
i got back to my apartment, and watched the news and baked chocolate chip cookies for the guys who helped me at work. and let me just say... they're damn good, too. (the only thing i can bake that tastes like it's supposed to). and after hours of baking cookies, i went grocery shopping and then cooked dinner with kristi and shonda.
after dinner, me and shonda had our nightly walk and now i'm sitting on my couch, enjoying the smell of baked cookies, watching friends, and basking in my domesticity. god, i'm ready to get back to work.
