Blah
I can't believe Anne Arundel County had to go to school at the regular time today. Yeah, the roads were okay, but the sidewalks were so treacherous! I almost broke my neck slipping on the ice. And to add to the fun, there is now a leak in the roof of my classroom, so when I walked in, there was a 5 foot wide (not deep, thank goodness) puddle on the floor, right where I usually sit.
I did get 3 nice surprises in my school mailbox, though. My friend Patrick sent me some music, a teacher gave me her daughter's old practice pad, and another teacher loaned me 2 Janet Evanovich books: #'s 11 and 12. (If you haven't read any, they're great fun. But they are very trashy.)
In knitting news, 1 of my students finished a project already. She made a shawl for a stuffed animal. Another student is doing a great job too. I'm looking forward to working with them some more tomorrow. Tonight is Sip and Knit at the Columbia Borders! Woohoo! Now I can knit continental in public!
