how i met your mother

Well, that was super boring. Are we really supposed to care about R/N and T/V? Even if I didn't know that they'll implode, they'd still be super boring. We still don't know Nick, at all. Why does she like him again? When did they met? At this rate, we won't get to know him until the break-up! Morons.

The nanny stuff. *yawn* did we really need an entire ep surrounding that storyline? It was obvious that Mickey was going to be the nanny. But it was nice to see that for the first few years of Lily's life, he wasn't awful, and will be there for Marvin (who has the cutest hair!) but other than that? snooze!

The one interesting thing- Barney doesn't like being the one dimensional, unfunny manwhore anymore. Progress! If he was seriously considering settling down (even if it was with the wrong woman) than it's understandable that he would look at his old life and be unsatisified. He needs to grow up (boyfriend's almost 40, right? Time to cut the strings and be a real boy) and put away childish things. And dressing up in costumes/lying to dumb women is getting old. If he wants Robin to see a different side to him, than he had better start acting like a real person soon. If she sees him maturing, I hope that makes it harder for her to deny her feelings.

I still wish they'd hurry up and get to b/r. I want to see them happy since right now they're not. She doesn't seem to like Nick all that much (and I guess the single life is scary- since after they saw Barney meltdown, both her and Ted clung to their Insignifciant Others) and Barney should be entering a transition phase. Look for a healthy, loving, adult relationship with someone he can respect and have fun with. Oh, yeah, Robin. ;p

All in all- blah blah, Lily and Marshall have a nanny, Barney's floundering and Robin and Ted are kidding themselves with their people. Next!
