Doctor Who
I really like Clara. I love that she doesn't seem to be too impressed with him. Like, she's not afraid to stand up to him and walk away. (will she always be dropped off?) I think they make a great team (so far) she's couragoues and brave, kind and tough. It had to hurt her to scarfice that leaf, but she did it to help save a world far away from hers. I'm glad that she got her mom's ring back.
Also, it's funny that the ghost she is competing with is herself! (and not Amy and Rory. There are shades of Martha's strory= having to take care of family, being the next one after companions he loved. It's nice to know that she won't be compared to the past.) I was like you go, girl! *snaps* when she told him that she wanted him to take HER and not someone else. I think Martha could've indentifed with that senitment.
The Doctor is great at doing the big speeches, isn't he? And the creepy face! Geez, I hope she didn't turn around after she walked away: she would've kept on walking! Geez, dude, you may want to calm down on the creepy face making. You don't want to scare her away. :p
I also loved the fact that Moffat just did HIMYM better than thomas/bays. Clara's dad is just like Ted (oh man, there are TWO of them?!) and her mother even had a yellow umbrella! *dies* I'm sure that doesn't mean anything, but I cracked up anyway. Also, I'll take Clara's "spanner" comment about the screwdriver as a shout out to Community. ha!
I could have done without the singing, but overall, it was an okay ep.
