I miss Community. :( This cannot be over stated. And since we have such a lack of spoilers for the new season (it's a little over a month away, nbc, GIVE ME INFO) I may have been over excited to see in the new Tv Guide this beautiful despcription for 4.01 : The gang is worried since Jeff wants to graduate early. But will his feelings for Annie stop him?
Lets all just stop and stare at that sentence. HIS FEELINGS FOR ANNIE. Now, I don't know how true that is (since this show will constantly put us down) but if this is it, if we are close to getting J/A confirmed? WHOOT. HIS FEELINGS FOR ANNIE. Oh please do this. I don't know how trust worthy that is, it could mean the course of the season, Jeff deals, if so, OK. It could mean this ep, whatever. The point is, we may be getting some damn movement on them. FINALLY. :)
It's been on my mind lately, the shape of the show since Dan was fired, the little bit of spoilers that we did have. The not knowing is driving me bonkers. But here is some thoughts that I have. And we are less (ish) than a month away from the preimere! WHOO
We know that Jeff will deal with his daddy issues this season. We also know that Britta is supposed to be involved in some way. I truly hope that it is strictly plationtic. You'd think so, with her dating Troy this season. But then the newbies were all, the reason why it didn't work out with J/B, were his walls. WHAT? The reason why they didn't work out was because they never tried and it was just sex. And she liked men who were damaged and mean to her. Jeff was always nice and supportive to her. He gives her shit because she can take it, but I say he has been nice to her.
Troy will probably change that for her, but that shouldn't mean that she's attracted to every open man .Jeff is still going to be Jeff, not matter how he evloves. And Jeff is someone who she has never been attracted too. That shouldn't change just cause he will be healing. If anything, that should be another reason why she wouldn't want him.
If there is an emotional breakthrough for Jeff, then it would make sense for Annie to be the one who benefits from it. She is estranged from her family too and she knows how it feels to have them walk away from her, so she knows how he feels. We already know that they can be vulnerable around each other, so why not add in some real stuff? It could also be a way to get them closer together. And again, have him deal with his feelings for her. And hers for him. Lets redeem that idiotic bullshit about her being in love with the idea of love. She can be mature and awesome without giving up her romantic ideals.
it's just...if they are open to making Troy and Britta cannon, why not the couple that has been building over three seasons? Bottom line: It just needs to hurry up and return.
