how i met your mother
Okay, my thoughts are still all over the place. I have squee, nitpicks and rants. I have praise and insults. But the main thing I have is this: BARNEY AND ROBIN ARE ENGAGED AND OMGYAYERS!!!!!
So, lets start with the happiness first.
I was pleasently surprised by the conversation between Robin and Ted. Mostly, from Ted's point of view. I will admit to them making me roll my eyes when he was all, maybe his wife will be at the event while he stares intently at Robin, BUT this time, they fucking did the right thing and had Ted FINALLY put Robin first. He knew that she was living in denial and was upset, and like the good friend they claim he is but rarely ever show us, he got her to admit her feelings. (now get her butt to walk down the aisle, cause that is still hanging over our heads and pisses me off. oops, a little bitter got through!)
I loved seeing Ranjit and having him agree that Robin loved Barney. :) and of course the best was when Robin sucked it up and got the hell out of that car. it did irk me a bit, that they were making it seem like she was choosing Ted over Barney, his building will still be there (and I assume he has others?) this is her life we're talking about here. But she went to go make an ass out of herself and get her man. *snaps*
I will also admit to tearing up as soon as she walked onto that rooftop. Her seeing the play on the ground...yeah, i don't know why, but that got me. I love how smart our fandom is. Everyone basically preditcted everything that happend. I wasn't sure when he started to plan this, so that was nice to see. And the random drunken kiss thing. Okay.
her smile when she says yes. :) I loved that she didn't look like someone punched her in the balls (see: Kevin of last year)
And the kisses and the fact that he could not wait to pop that ring on. :) Maybe my love for them isn't dead after all. Cause now we should get all the happy times we were denied years ago! Whoot. Can't wait.
Oh and I was right-ish. They were sorta self aware enough to realize that the play was stupid and that was way more than I was expecting from this show. so, go me! *goes* (the nitpick- why couldn't he say I love you, will you marry me? and she was ready to bounce, until he pulled out the ring? what?)
And now the bad- WTF Marshall? You are such an enabling asshole and how the hell does he get invited to the wedding? Jackass. I bet they'll act like he's so happy for them too. Jerk. I bet Lily will be happy for them. But Marshall's an asshole. Lets hope that Ted FINALLY gets the fuck over Robin and takes Marshall with him. That just pissed me the fuck off.
But I don't care (well, a little) about that because barney and robin are together :) Finally!
