PATRICE!! That just needs to be stated. I sincerely hope that she gets to be a bridesmaid. And that barney and her have a real close friendship. Cause they are just so cute together. And maybe Robin can calm her bitchiness down when it comes to Patrice. Just be friends! PATRICE is the greatest!
I think I can figure out some of barney's plan. Patrice is the stand in for Robin. Like, he had to know that she was hiding in his house (nobody looks inside their closet like he did. He just shoved his arm in and didn't LOOK around? I don't know, i think he knew) and that is why he burnt up the Playbook. If he had told Robin that he did that, she wouldn't nessacarily have to believe him. But seeing him do that? Showed her that he was serious. He wants something real and long term and he is willing to throw out bits of his past life to prove it.
Especially when Patrice was all, I could never be with someone who had that or something like that. That seemed like barney knew it could be a problem for Robin and he wanted to assure that he wasn't the same guy from season five.
Though, she saw him get rid of some stuff with Nora, so it's not like Patrice is that different from her. They may want to watch their own damn show. Nora was a goody goody and then he dated the stripper. How is Patrice an 'over-correction' and screw them for thinking he could never be attracted to her otherwise. Urgh.
And I loved that in the end, when he was babbling about falling for someone you didn't expect (or something like that) that he was staring RIGHT AT ROBIN. As if, I know I'm not who you were looking for, but it's okay to love me. *SIGH* I still find it so lame that he has to freakin' trick her into admitting her feelings, but these moments and with Patrice are showing such a softer side of him. Underneath it all, he really is a good guy.
I also love that Robin is on to him. She knows her man. I wonder if Ted/Lily/Marshall are in on it. (well maybe not Lily lol) That intervention seemed real. But Robin's not stupid (usually) and she knows that something is up with Barney. For the first time in a long time, I actually can't wait to see where this is going. I think I know and I can't believe it. Please show, bring me back around. Even if it's just with them.
As for the other story? Yeah, who cares. Who didn't see Mickey and Marshall's mom coming? Whatever.
We have two eps left this year. PLEASE be better than last year!
