so we won.
Yarmuth won with the exact percentage I thought he would- 54%. I am pretty excited about the general. I knew for sure that Yarmuth was the best candidate in the field, for the reasons I laid out in the last entry, but tonight I was more sure of it than ever. We have a solid base of donors (several whom I met tonight) who are hyped about this race and we will be able to do a lot of stuff that the other candidates who have run in this race couldnt. Also, I really hope that the DNC people and the other activists (like that Chuck guy) get behind Yarmuth solid, because then we can seriously beat her. I really admired john tonight, a reporter asked him "do you think this is going to be a hard race for you?" and john said "with 32% of the people saying that this country is going in the wrong direction, i think this will be a hard race for her."
he has a lot of really awesome soundbites and he really knows what he's talking about. Northup challenged Tony Miller to 12 debates last time around, and Yarmuth said he wanted to definitely do all twelve this time. she should be shaking from lack of sleep. i really think we will win, Northup is super vulnerable. She's only had one runaway victory, against a really crappy candidate. Conway and Jordan came SUPER CLOSE to beating her in years where the Republicans held the House pretty well. This year, the Dems are going to take control of the house, the republicans may lose up to 30 or 40 seats. Yarmuth has better name recognition than both Conway and Jordan, plus he's a good money raiser. Northup wins because she is able to attack people on crazy stuff. surely, she will attack john on crazy stuff, but we will attack her because she has tied herself to george bush at every passing. thats going to come back to haunt her.
