Maybe they had rushed through the wedding and had a surprise reception, but the honeymoon they were absolutely doing correctly. The timing had been perfect, and an entire week alone with Lavender was the absolute best thing Roger could think of at the moment. It was a fantastic location that he hadn't been able to properly appreciate in the past, ( Read more... )

They had arrived early the day before, needed a few days longer than expected to get their affairs in order before disappearing for an entire week. Lavender didn't want anything to interrupt her honeymoon with Roger, not after they finally took the time to plan something out and prepare.

Everything was absolutely beautiful, more serene than she could have imagined it would be. She had traveled the world, seen countless lakes and oceans, visited remote locations and touristy cities alike. Nothing compared the feeling she got standing on the balcony, the view of the lake stretched out, with Roger wrapped out around her.

It was perfect.

She woke the next morning later than she wanted to, lingering in bed as the light filtered through behind the plush curtains. The click of the door made her stir and she turned, stretching from under the comforter, a happy humming coming from her lips.

"Is that my husband?" she asked, blinking away sleep.

"Always," Roger answered. The grin that took over his face when he saw her stretched out against the white sheets was wide and bright.

He settled the bag and cups on the bedside table. As soon as his hands were free, he leaned across the bed for a kiss. "How's my wife this morning?"

Lavender wrapped her arms around neck and tugged him closer as they kissed, grinning against his lips. There wasn't any better way to wake up.

"The happiest I've ever been," she told him, nuzzling against his nose.

Roger scrunched up his nose against hers, pulling back just enough to press a kiss to the tip of hers.

"Good. That's kind of the vibe I'm going for this week."

With her hands over her head, Lavender stretched again, this time with the covers slipping off of her. They must have fallen asleep before even bothering to pull on clothes on.

"So far so good then," she assured him, pushing herself up into the sitting position.

"Do I smell coffee?"

"You do. And breakfast." Roger told her. Even as he said it, he moved to sit beside her, pressing a kiss to her shoulder.

"Though looking like that? I might not let you have any."

The mattress shifted under his weight, pulling the sheet down just a little bit further so that it wasn't covering much of Lavender's body at all.

"You're not too worn out from last night?" she teased, licking at her lips.

The coffee could get cold, she didn't care, not when Roger was looking at her like that.

"Too worn out for you?" Roger shook his head, eyes sliding up her body, savoring all the exposed skin.

"Not a chance," he told her as he reached for her again.

Lavender would never get tired of that look, his eyes settling over her skin and lighting up like that. Even when they were young and those looks were much more innocent still felt her heart jump.

"You willing to prove it?" she challenged, a mischievous smirk tugging at her lips.

He twirled a strand of her hair around his finger.

"Is that a dare?" Not that it ever needed to be. All Lavender ever needed to do was look at him with her eyes bright like that.

She pulled away just enough so that she was out of his reach, so that he'd have to come get her. Lavender bit her lip, meeting his eyes as she moved across the bed.

"It is definitely a dare-"

Grin going a little wicked, Roger raked his eyes over her body again as she moved. He didn't pause to shift slowly toward her.

"Not going to make it easy?"

As he moved closer, she shifted back just a little bit more, laughing as she did so.

"I just want to make sure you really want it," she told him.

This was the way that Lavender loved them most - goofy, sexy, and playful. There was a lightness between the two of them as they circled each other.

"You really doubt me?" He tried for a mock pout, but the smile kept fighting to break through.

He inched closer, slowly, slowly. Until he could lunge for her. They were ridiculous, but it was half their charm.

When he lunged, Lavender squealed, the two of them rolling around on the fluffy white down comforter together like a couple of happy idiots.

"What sort of wife would I be to doubt my gorgeous and sexy husband?" she countered, smiling up at him now.

"That's what I'm saying," he said, incredulous. His arms were planted on the bed beside her shoulders as he grinned down at her, his one regret that he hadn't taken his clothes off before crawling into bed with her.

"But you're all enticing and gorgeous anyway, even if you want to doubt me. I knew what I was getting when I married you."
