Closed: Lavender (because awkward)

After the day following Lavender's attack, Roger had been busier than he would have liked. He'd have given nearly anything to sort of follow Lavender around and dote on her, but that just wasn't in the cards. He'd had practice that he couldn't get out of, even if the team was ridiculously understanding and concerned about their new photographer. ( Read more... )

Lavender had been home (she used that term loosely considering it was George's apartment) for a total of four days now. Every day she woke up, took a shower, and got dressed then made herself breakfast. She told herself that she was going to go out, run some errands or check in at work. But then, every day, just as she was about to leave something stopped her. A feeling came over her and Lavender just couldn't bring herself to leave the flat.

That morning she was working on her cooking skills. There was a cake in the oven and she was working on a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Working with her hands helped pass the time.

When the knock came, Lavender was hesitant. She walked over to the door, brushed flower off her hands and onto her dark gray leggings. Then cracked the door.

"Oh, Roger!" She immediately pulled the door all the way open, a giant smile on her face.

"Hey," Roger grinned. He couldn't help smiling around her, especially after he'd gone this long without seeing her after such a close call.

"Sorry, I've been kind of... gone." He really did regret it but tried not to make it a big deal as he motioned as if to ask if it was all right that he come in.

"No, you're busy. I know," she told him, still just happy to see him. Lavender grabbed his hand and pulled him inside. The smell of chocolate cake wafted through the flat (which was a miracle was clean).

"I've just....been here. I should have owled when I was out." Truthfully, she had just been too scared to leave in case he wanted to meet her somewhere.

"I knew you were out." Roger linked their fingers then leaned closer to drop his voice conspiratorially low. "I have spies. Everywhere."

Then he winked.
