I was under the impression that they were sticking to the same continuity as the first 3 films. That's why we won't see Iceman or Angel as original X-Men since they made them younger in the movies. I recognized Banshee and non-furry Beast but not sure of some of the others.

Yep, Banshee, Havok, Mystique, Nightcrawler's father Azazel (I'm guessing to set up Mystique getting pregnant), Angel Salvatore (insect wing girl) from New X-Men and Armando Muñoz.
