So, I'm in Opua right now. Spend last night near here, looking for a tallship race and a skipper named Pete (my uncle's friend) today, but alas no go for either, it seems. :P
There are some impressive hills on the 5 km before Opua. The area I'm in is called Bay of Islands, it's really quite nice, I'm thinking of renting a kayak later on.
