Summary: Vergil collapses in the middle of a photoshoot and Dante finds himself in a position that no sibling ever wants to be in. (i.e. We've been wanting to have the twins angst over something for a while. XD)
Dante didn't believe in those magical twin bonds that people find so fascinating, but he definitely had something called a good gut instinct. And on this fine, beautiful morning, his gut told him something was off about his brother. He wasn't sure what it was, though.
Sitting up from where he was curled against Vergil's side, Dante glanced at the clock. 8:00 am, shortly before they were supposed to work. He wasn't sure what to make of being awake at this time. Either he was up abnormally early, or Vergil was oversleeping. Normally, his twin was up at the crack of dawn and had to practically beat him out of bed if they wanted to make it to work together. On days when they had separate photoshoots, Vergil normally gave up and let his lazy brother sleep as much as he wished.
Apparently, today wasn't one of those days. Dante glanced down at his brother's peaceful and sleeping form. Was it just him, or was there a slight tint of color on Vergil's cheeks? He ran a hand across that handsome face and started when he felt the heat radiating from under his fingertips.
Vergil seemed to have a slight fever. That would explain the oversleeping.
Finding it odd to believe that his normally active and practically undefeatable brother was sick, Dante nudged his twin gently. "Oi. Hey." He lowered himself back down and kissed the shell of Vergil's ear, tugging at it lightly with his teeth. That was normally enough to get Vergil's attention. "Wake up, Ver. You never sleep this late."
