Summary:: A while after accidentally boning again, Sephiroth and Kyo are forced to spend more time together when Kyo is injured at work. Zelos is called to meet them at the hospital and stuff happens that nobody else will ever, ever find out about. >>
His morning had been long and annoying, full guarding Rufus while the police came around to ask more questions and watching the young man try to keep his composure while they did it. So far Rufus had been doing a pretty good job of it. The only sign of his discomfort over the whole thing was his hands trembling slightly in his lap. Police were now around morning and night, feeling it was their civic duty to help keep an eye on the building. Much to Sephiroth's annoyance, coordinating the building's security, the police, and taking all the information back to Basch and Vincent so Rufus's personal security could be adjusted accordingly had become his job.
And what a job it was. One of the detectives asked Rufus a question that was obviously quite upsetting and didn't seem necessary, so Sephiroth broke it off, telling them to come back later. Rufus had lapsed back into silence, staring quietly at his hands. Sephiroth sighed. The man had insisted on coming back to work, much to the annoyance of him and Basch. Rufus seemed to be hoping it would take his mind off things, but so far it had only appeared to marginally be working. He was jumpy over every little, shaking almost constantly, and it was only due to the reassuring presence of his guards and the SWAT team in the building that he was somewhat calm.
Still, it was quite a lot to have to deal with, for all of them. Another came to take his place and Sephiroth let him know the details of what happened before he heading down into the cafeteria for his lunch. Getting his food and sitting down, Sephiroth happened to glance just in time to spot Kyo entering the cafeteria. Great, just great.
