6. Toronto
7. Hamilton
8. Winnipeg
Was off on a business trip during week seventeen which explains - if not excuses - my lack of update.
Week Eighteen Cumulative Power Ranking
1. B.C. (Last Week 1)
2. Montreal (Last Week 2)
3. Calgary (Last Week 3)
4. Saskatchewan (Last Week 4)
5. Toronto (Last Week 6)
6. Edmonton (Last Week 5)
7. Hamilton (Last Week 7)
8. Winnipeg (Last Week 8)
As you can see, although Hamilton is still holding onto spot #7 (and Edmonton and Toronto are both just above Hamilton), none are guaranteed to keep their rankings, something Winnipeg would be very greatful to see. Not since the first week of power rankings has Winnipeg been above spot #8 is this season, which again makes me want to repeat the need for a top down cleaning in good ol' Winterpeg. Moving over to something just as obvious, despite there being two games left - and only a two game difference between the uncontended first and (two) second(s) - B.C. has been playing at a season wide calibre that has made them uncatchable. Even if they lose their remaining games, they are not likely to cede their top ranking. Overall, things look very good for them heading into the playoffs but, that being said, once playoffs hit anything could happen.
