Currently sitting within a three point gap we have Saskatchewan, Montreal and Calgary which could very well stay exactly the same since there are no direct match-ups this upcoming week in the CFL. Still one gets the feeling that, of these three teams, only one is on a true downward trajectory. Nothing should be taken away from Montreal's 8 wins and they are currently sitting atop the Eastern Division but A.C. continues to underperform at QB for no real reason. If he can turn his play around he can likely turn around his entire team but until then the Alouettes are more likely to go down then up.
Speaking briefly on another team in a slump at the moment, until Ray's injury, I was legitimately thinking that Toronto could be the dark horse of the playoffs. They had some lousy games true but, more times then not, Ray kept them afloat. Unfortunately the same can not be said for Jarious. Again, nothing against Jackson's skill or experience but in him I see a QB out of sync with his teams philosophy and a team still used to having Ray under centre. Likely fortunate for Montreal is there chance to play the Argonauts this weekend because, while even the worst teams have sparks of brilliance, I can't see Toronto doing anything but slumping until they have Ray back.
