Sorry I haven't been around much, dear flist. There's been a whole lot of blah I'm not going to even waste my energy bitching about. I haven't even really had the chance to check lj, so please direct my attention to any important posts I may have missed.
We're in the process of moving furniture and re-doing rooms throughout the house. I'm excited b/c it means I'll finally be able to do something with all my clothes and unpacked boxes from a year ago. I just can't wait to get things organized again. We haven't really had a chance to do much since last July, with every new month bringing some other problem, but now we actually have floorspace in some of the rooms. Which, in my house, Ye Olde Dwellig of Clutter, is pretty damn amazing. That and someone gave us two bookshelves, which means even more shelves for my books to go on! This, perhaps, excites me more than anything.
It also means I will spend most of my day off tomorrow hauling shit and cleaning, but at least I will get to spend the whole day inside and not have to walk home. You know, since apparently 94F with high humidity/UV index isn't enough, the National Weather Service is actually warning us with a heat advisory. Heat index could reach 109F. That's just not right. At all. Period. I miss New England. :(
