I have two student loan payments that are close to $500 combined and def. will not have that money by the end of month/time they are due. This very much sucks. I need another pay period. Since I'll only be, like, $85 short, I am seriously tempted to like, I don't know, scrounge the house for all the buckets of change we have and bond with the CoinStar at work.
The moral of the story is: I def. need a second job to somehow get up to 40 hrs/week/get a larger paycheck etc. And possibly choose a different repaymend plan. I have a feeling if I did the Income Based Repayment Plan right now they'd probably laugh. Or knock my payment down a fuckton. It's just, ugh. Education costs, suck. $40 for one loan, $351 for another, $123 for the third. Why, oh why, did I have to go to grad school in Mass. of all places? And we so see how well that Master's Degree is helping me right now.
In other news,
okay, Peter Jackson, I am happy about the Bilbo casting, but just friggin' tell me who is playing Thranduil and if you will please, please, please leave the visit to Rivendell and Elrond in the films.
It makes my fandom heart happy to have more Tolkien news, but man, do I have to dust off and finish those stories. I am finally feeling some creative vibes coming back. Which is kind of odd, since I've had no good news these past few days (Mom also has health issues now, it could just be a kidney stone or it could be cancer or a third option, we'll find out Monday). I know, escapism, whatever. At least it's also motivating me to clean, clean, clean.
I've also finally got back to the ever-sprawling modern-day war fandom au. I don't know, I just have fun writing epic love/hate bromance that is Babe and Snafu. And Lipton's mug collection, courtesy of Ron Speirs, Chuck Grant, Kitty Gorgan, and John Janovec. I've spent far too much time finding the most sarcastic, garish, tacky-fabulous mugs the internet world has to offer.
Now to get back to all that and getting ready for work tomorrow. Time to put on Brad Paisley's "Cluster Pluck."
